deny nothing doesn't make a positive impression
like fessing up to every trivial slip and peccadillo
obscured by success lies in wait when you finally
fall pick yourself up and pretend it was deliberate
they didn't hire you to be nice when you weren't
it all added up because suffering doesn't count
except to the sufferer and fading sentimentalists
who can't wait to see you go through it all again
